What do you think of Ben Kiernan's works?
I've only read "Pol Pot Plans the Future" which is mostly documents of the Communist Party of Kampuchea which were leaked out of the country.
They are translated and explained, but I think he overdid puting his opinions in the book.
He also included a report from a zone comander he believed to be Pol Pot (it was unsigned). I totally disagree with him because I don't think Pol Pot was ever a zone commander, just a member of the ruling circle or the Ankar. Also the piece shows a lot of Maoist influence and I don't believe that Pol ever took much interest or influence in Maoism.
